Abstract: The Melacha of Tofer (sewing/stitching)

Many of the shuls in North-West London are marking Shabbat UK by learning the 39 prohibited melachot of Shabbat. Kehillat Alei Tzion has been asked to learn about the melacha of Tofer (sewing/stitching). Attached is a 10-minute shiur by Rabbi Roselaar which discusses this melacha and addresses the use on Shabbat of safety-pins, post-it notes and the adhesive tabs on nappies.
